Good optimization for keywords on the website page produces good listing with the search engines. Hence selecting the right keywords is essential and these keywords be used throughout the process. This selection is the key to have your website found in the search engines. Since the keyword selection is vital, I have put together some tips from my experience with Online consulting.
1. Be Specific: It is important to be as specific as possible. Generic keywords attract extreme competition so it is very difficult to rank well in the search engines. Hence specific keywords would bring better results. It is not only useful in attracting traffic but also beneficial in attracting high quality traffic. 2. Put yourself in your audience shoes: Think of what your audience maybe thinking. Present the most important material upfront whatever it is- price, specifications, manufacturer etc. Adapt your keywords accordingly. Depending on your budget and scope, you could solicit for feedback from customers, partners, friends and family. 3. Do a regular Competitive analysis. 3. Check out your competition. How are they doing on your targeted keywords? Or which keywords the websites you consider your competition are targeting? Once on the site view the source HTML code and view the keywords they have in their meta tags - this should give you many more ideas. Make sure to only use keywords that relate to YOUR site or page.
